In November 1948, Dr. Marion Powell presented a talk on sex at a meeting of the So-Ed Club (Social Education Club) for young people organized by the Y.M.C.A. in Timmins, Ontario.
The article printed in the Porcupine Advance reads: “The Y Week – Dr. Marion Powell at So-Ed. The guest speaker at the weekly meeting of the So-Ed Club was Dr. Marion Powell who has just recently arrived in Timmins. Dr. Powell spoke to the members of So-Ed on the subject You and Sex.”
